Safer Opioid Prescribing

The University of Toronto’s Safer Opioid Prescribing is one of the first educational programs in the country to offer a curriculum that reflects the Canadian Guidelines for Opioids for Chronic Non-Cancer Pain released in May 2017. The three webinars and capstone workshop integrate the Guideline recommendations to ensure that physicians and health care providers have the most up to date information to improve their opioid prescribing and chronic pain management. In partnership with Saegis, a subsidiary of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), the capstone workshop will be offered in Saskatoon in June 2018.
